Take a Seat on the Couch:
If this episode hits home for you. If you believe you and your family struggle with this particular area, read below for next steps for you and your family:
1. Create a contract: 5-7 expectations and 2-3 consequences for if they fail to meet the expectations. This contract should help take emotion out of discipline.
2. Treat discipline like a business transaction. The child did something wrong so they get consequences, nothing more - nothing less. Depersonalize the transaction.
3. Remove sarcasm from discipline.
