How does your family treat school? Does it run your family? Does your child believe you’re only satisfied with him if he makes good grades? Believe it or not, school is way too important in our society today. The Pairadocs discuss ways to limit its importance while still keeping it a priority.

2. Speak with your spouse (or community - if not married) and figure out an "academic job description" where you hold you child accountable for academic effort, but cease to make it a daily battle.
3. Require mandatory study hall (at the kitchen table) if your child falls below minimum effort.
4. Speak to a trusted friend or counselor if you need further assistance.
